Now that OS X Yosemite is out, many of Apple’s own apps are getting updated with design tweaks and features like Handoff and iCloud Drive.
The iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) has been updated on both OS X and iOS with Yosemite compatibility.
All three iWork apps on the Mac now have a Yosemite-like design, Handoff support for switching between OS X and iOS, iCloud Drive integration, and an updated file format that “makes it easier to send documents via services like Gmail and Dropbox.” Thanks to extensions in iOS 8 and Yosemite, you can also access services like Dropbox for opening and saving files directly within Apple’s apps.
Some other notable additions include support for Multipeer Connectivity for quickly pairing Keynote on the Mac with a nearby iOS device remote and a “new custom color mixer on iPad.” The iWork suite is free to download on any Apple device, so be sure to grab Pages, Numbers, and Keynote in the App Store.
